ImPress Hydraulic Press
This small but mighty hydraulic press for jewelry making was built to be affordable, portable, and put-away-able.  The hydraulic press very efficient at speeding up the process of making jewelry.  It can form metal, help cut shaped disks, add patterns and textures, help create hollow forms, make quickly repeatable shapes, do a version of abbreviated chasing and repoussé and even making bracelets and rings.

All together, the imPress Hydraulic Press weighs about 38lbs… total. The ram and the frame are meant to be transported separately, equaling under 20lbs each. That is light enough that almost anyone can move.  Other hydraulic presses require two strong people to install or move.  The leading brand's model weighs 200lbs!

This jewelry press is ideal for a small studio, a kitchen table studio, an RV park picnic bench, a big studio, a tidy studio, a messy studio… meaning, every studio!

Hydraulic Presses are used in jewelry to make with the following dies:

  • Impression Dies - 3D impressions like a mermaid, a unicorn, an art nuevo pattern, etc. - impressions you could normally only get from hours of chasing and repoussé.
  • Pancake Dies, also known as blanking dies - saves time and frustration of sawing out shapes.  There are hundreds and hundreds of shapes available.  You can find geometric shapes, animal shapes, flowers, leaves, and on and on.
  • Silhouette Dies - for adding a shallow dome to your metal.  This gives dimension to the piece.  If you are an enamellist, this adds a slight rounding that helps the enamel stay in place and prevents it from flaking off.

Made in the United States by artists/makers in small batches with safety, durability, accessibility, portability and affordability in mind.

We will ship internationally, but please email AHEAD of buying to verify the shipping rates.  Just email us at TowedStudio@gmail.com.
